History



  •  Early 1950’s – Maryland school teachers experience their first “Teacher Supply Source” at Lycett’s in downtown Baltimore

·        1968 – The company started as “School and Pre-School Supply Center, Inc.” with our first store on Edmondson Avenue in Catonsville.

 

·        1979 – Second “Learning How” store opened at The Shops at Kenilworth in Towson.

 

·        1991 – Third store opened in Annapolis across from Westfield Mall.

 

·        1995 – Learning How purchases Chaselle’s Learning Center in Columbia.

 

·        1996 – Frederick store opens at Weis Festival Shopping Center.

 

·        1997 – Bel Air store opens at the Festival in Bel Air.

 

·        1998 – Columbia store relocates to its present McGaw Road location (across from Apple Ford.)

 

·        2001 – Westminster store opens in Carroll Plaza (Route 140.)

 

·        2002 – Bel Air store relocates to its new site at Bel Air Plaza (Route 1.)

 

·        2006 – Annapolis store relocates to its new site at 339 Busch's

    Frontage Road.
